New Branch Records serves a variety of musicians, enabling them to produce and promote their music quickly and affordably.
The idea for New Branch Records was born out of a desire to further engage young musicians in Lexington, Kentucky – particularly within The University of Kentucky’s School of Music. Founded as a practicum project by Ben Southworth and Bradley Kerns, the label aims to equip musicians with the knowledge and resources needed to record, produce, distribute, and promote their music. Whether a simple single, or a full-length album of original songs, New Branch Records pushes young musicians to take the initiative to apply their musical abilities in practical ways, outside of their coursework.
Though the practicum has come to a close, New Branch Records is an ongoing project – serving as a resource to any musicians interested.
